Hooters Investigation
Recently, I did an investigation with the Ghost Research Society in Chicago, IL and we had the opportunity to investigate the Hooters Restaurant on the corner of Wells Street.
This was a great event for me to work with some wonderful local Ghost Hunters and become apart of their group. We were asked to investigate the basement of the restaurant which has a long history of haunted activity.
The following is a list of the Video and Audio capture. I have included a zip file for the EVPS.
Not wanting to know anything that occurred there I ventured down on my own which I am used to doing and tried to feel my way around. I was drawn to one side in particular. Most of the energy I sensed was between the large hallways in the back by the closet and the generator. The air was different and the ambiance seemed to be related to spirit activity.
Later, It seems the evps, orbs on video, as well as readings captured on temperature gauges all occurred in that area. So it is consistent with the feelings and ambiance I had originally picked. For me, that was nice to know. No cameras, no crew, no bored CO-host, no TV show, just good old get out of my face, let me do my thing investigation.
I felt a female and 2 male spirits that were present. The female and one of the males seemed to be more active then the other male, who mostly kept his distance. Female prominent in the closet area. One male near the generator. One male had been there the longest. Female arrived after and another male either at the same time or shortly, very shortly, thereafter.
One of the Ghost hunters named "Roy" had captured drastic temperature changes in both the closet and in front of the generator room. From 65 down to 55 degrees in a minute and back up again in the exact same spot to the other location of 62 degrees down to 49 degrees in front of the generator door.
The dramatic thing is not how quickly the temperature changed when asked but that while we felt a presence, I decided to ask the spirit to go first lower the reading from 65 degrees down to 55 and later on in a different are from 62 degrees down to 49 degrees respectively. On both occasions the spirit complied did just that. As soon as it reached the readings I asked and held for a few seconds it went all the way back up to the regular controlled room of 62-65 degrees. It was great to see that form of response and activity and have a witness to it.
I do believe the female, more so then the two males, was willing to give us signs and can affect the temperature at will. This test was done twice at two different locations at two different times. With two amazing results. It went to the exact temperature we asked it to and not any degree less. It also went right back up once it had reached it.
Further study needs to be done to document this on video.
Battery on my infrared camera went dead after 30 minutes. Should have lasted over an hour to two hours. The evps captured were also exciting. Roy had recorded some great orbs that seemed to follow us and maintain a sense of purpose and intelligence.
